Rooms @ The Herds Inn Our hand built log home has been constructed from two restored 1800's tobacco barns combined with hand hewn logs. The foundation, chimney, and fireplace have been crafted from limestone rocks gathered by us from the surrounding land. Cypress wood was extracted from the vinegar vats at National Fruit Apple Plant and used to make the stunning hardwood floors. The kitchen is a work of art featuring rustic handmade cabinets and memorableia of our family and friends. The Herds Inn offers our guests complete privacy during your stay. Whether you are joing us for a romantic weekend, vacation getaway, or family gathering you will have all the comforts of home available during you visit. The house is complete with a kitchen, dining area, mud room, large family great room with stone fireplace, two carpeted bedrooms, and two full baths. Back to Top The Fishermen’s Nook has a full-size bed, a comfortable rocker to relax in, and lots of fishing gear to get you thinking about catching that next big fish. Back to Top Books and magazines for all interest levels are available, and you are welcome to leave any reading materials you may have finished during your stay. If you have any suggestions please feel free to let us know. Both rooms have ample closet space and dressers for your needs. Comforters, blankets, and pillows are provided. A pull out coach is located in the large family great room to accommodate additional guests. We also have a baby pack-n-play, baby gate, and high chair for the younger members of the family. Bring your groceries and spend some quality time cooking in the fully furnished kitchen, or take advanatage of our loacl restaurants. Many are located within 10-20 minutes.
